Admission to the Department of Art & Design is a two-part application process that requires a digital portfolio for the department review and completion of the common application to the University. Once a student is accepted to the Department and the University he/she is admitted as a BA Art Major.
Upon successful completion of the two-year core program, a student may choose to pursue one of the following three degree programs:
BA in Art degree
BFA in Fine Arts (FA)
BFA in Visual Communications (VC)
All degree programs require a
portfolio review and completion of the two-year core credit requirements or
approved equivalents from another program. Art majors are required to receive a
grade of C- or better in all art courses and maintain at least a 2.66 GPA in
art courses to continue in the degree path.
Application deadline is January 15.
