Advising and Review
BodyText2
Upon successful completion of the two-year
core credit requirements, students in all undergraduate degree programs
are assessed through a portfolio review advising session with the art
and design faculty. These reviews are usually conducted in the spring of
sophomore year. At that time, a BA major has the option to apply for
the BFA in Fine Arts (FA) and/or BFA in Visual Communications (VC). Admission into these programs is competitive.
Art
and Design majors are required to receive a grade of C- (2.66 GPA) or
better in all ART courses to continue in the degree path.
International Students
BodyText3
Upon receipt of your application, the University Office of Admissions
responds to all Department of Art and Design applicants with a letter
outlining the requirements for admission.
