Admission to the Department of Art & Design is a two-part application process. Students must submit:
- A digital portfolio for the Department Review Process (see step #2 here)
- The Common Application to the University
- Deadline to apply is January 15.
- Once a student is accepted to the Department and the University he/she is admitted as a BA Art Major.
Upon successful completion of the two-year core program, a student may choose to pursue the BA Art degree, the BFA in Fine Arts (FA) or BFA in Visual Communications (VC).
All three degree programs require a portfolio review and completion of the two-year core credit requirements or approved equivalents from another program. FA and VC majors are required to receive a grade of C- (2.66 GPA in art courses) or better in all art courses to continue in the degree path.

Financial need, as determined by the FAFSA process
All undergraduate financial aid and scholarship programs are managed and decided by the Office of Student Financial Services.
