Myth from the Future: Jia-Rey Chang
In this Vimeo short, Professor Jia-Rey Chang shows you how his Introduction to 3D Modeling course works, and shows completed assignments by students in this class.
Task: This assignment is to ask students to do an (at least) 5 seconds animation titled "Self-portrait." The "Self-portrait" here, rather than a literally human-figure kind of portrait, it is more an abstract metaphor of one's personality/characteristics as a "monster." It can be various different shapes and form with motions. The students use their imaginations to illustrate their individual portrait by using animation skills learned in class.
